Private Practice Dietitian – casual employee

We are seeking an experienced private practice dietitian to join our friendly, compassionate team of expert dietitians.  The available hours are casual, starting at 4- 8 hours per week, with the potential to progress to 20 hours / week starting September for at least a 2-3 month period whilst we cover paternity leave. About the role:
The successful applicant will consult privately (either face to face or via telehealth) with patients requiring advice for gastrointestinal conditions, including IBS, IBD, bariatric surgery, Coeliac disease, as well as for weight concern, diabetes, pregnancy & fertility, food chemical intolerance and more.   We also embrace any additional dietetic expertise or specialities. The position is based at our head office in Glen Iris, Victoria (opposite parkland and adjacent to coffee),  with the potential to work at one or more of our satellite sites. Our Glen Iris site site offers beautifully appointed consulting suites; staffing amenities, along with administration and practice manager support.

About you:
You demonstrate excellent, evidence based, client focused care with a high attention to detail. You work well with a friendly, cohesive and supportive team and have experience working in a private consulting setting, particularly with clients requiring assistance with gastrointestinal nutrition.

Essential Criteria:       
* Current Dietitians Australia Membership        
* Provisional or Full APD status
* Professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance
* Own personal Windows laptop for use
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Computer literacy skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience with gastrointestinal conditions and food intolerance
* Ability to manage complex cases
* Experience in private practice  

Desirable Criteria:·        
* Experience on a gastroenterology ward in clinical setting or private practice
